The Band

Bring on the swanky grooves and feel-good tunes! Get down and roll with the rhythms; grab a stranger and show them what happens when this Vancouver-based group mixes a bit of hot reggae-rock and fuses it with cool Canadian culture. Locals and guests alike will feel the call, creep out of the woodwork and join each other in Malakwa to embrace to twang, swing and emotional fire of Aaron Nazrul and the Boom Booms. It’s clear by the 1,000+ myspace fans that the band has developed a strong following across the globe. Originating from Vancouver, B.C., the band’s music is anything but ‘local’ in sound and feel. They’ve taken notes from the songbooks of numerous artists ranging from bluesy favourites like Otis Redding to modern reggae artists like Damien Marley.
